Do your little bit of good where you are; it is those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.--Desmond Tutu

I'm off tomorrow and would be thrilled to acept your challenge then!

I am getting rid of stuff by sewing up some of the fabric that I have on hand. Ready, set, go! Am sewing up a storm:) I will only buy fabric if I need it for trim so that I can use up what I have. Sad to say, anyone looking at my sewing room would not be able to see that anything is missing:)Working on pj's for Chase right now. M's dress is done. Next, Daddy wants me to work on the pictures that have collected:)
ReplyDeleteMom, I have something really, really sad to tell you: I am bringing you fabric. Yes, I know. But when we were in Chico last, Doug's grandma invited me over to look at fabric. She used to sew everyone's clothes, you know, and is not able to do it anymore, although she is toying with the idea of trying this summer. Anyway, she really, really, wanted to send some fabric with me to IL so you could consider making it up for the girls. ; ) So I am going to be good to my word, and I am going to bring it--and then I will be more than happy to help you declutter your fabric supply while I am there! : )
ReplyDeleteStacy, I expect to see a full report. ; )
ReplyDeleteI am up to 31! Still a few hours of daylight left. . .
I laughed when I saw your comment! Fabric just seems to grow around here:) I still have some that g'ma L gave me way back when. Oh yes, Daddy just reminded me of the fabric for a wedding dress, 6 bridesmaid dresses, and 1 flower girl's dress in the attic:) There is a saying among sewers that "the one who dies with the most fabric wins." Daddy thinks I am in the lead:) See you soon
ReplyDeletePS -- you can help me put patterns and fabric together when you are here. Oh, a young friend of ours will stay with us one night while you are here and a young couple who are going on the mission field to Afghanistan will be moving into the basement while they finish their training and raise support. Their lease is up the end of July. They won't be moving in until the last week of July so don't worry about beds. Ligia returns Aug 5th. I am really looking forward to seeing her again! See you soon!
ReplyDeleteLove to help you put together patterns and fabric--you know I love it! : )
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing you soon, Mom.
This week is going by way too quickly.
Done! Woohoo!!!! So, did you get all 50? Just so you know, I had to clean off my table to finish up. My table. *sigh* So much work, so little desire to do it... ;)
ReplyDeleteonce again, I *just* finished posted a comment on your blog just as you were posting on mine! : )
ReplyDeleteI am claiming victory. I am counting individually some of the junk mail envelopes I cleared out to make the 50, but that still counts! And I had about 40 solid, space-sucking items that are bagged and ready to bless the world. . . so, yes, I would say the day was a success!
It was so much more fun today knowing you were doing the same. : ) Thanks for taking up the gauntlet! (And smacking your clutter silly with it!)
Let me know next time you want to play. ; )
