Do your little bit of good where you are; it is those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.--Desmond Tutu

Let's Play "What's Wrong With This Product?" Again!
Aforementioned coloring pages that kept the girls so happy in the car and which now adorn their bedroom.
Princesses, check. Required markers for blond hair, blue eyes, peach skin and pink dresses, check. Hey, what more does a Disney princess coloring packet need?
*hint: take a good look at the princess in the middle.
Yes - these items came from my world....what can I say?? Only one is actually FROM me though ;) You are also free to blog about how, after spending time in my house, you are even more grateful you don't have so much stuff and don't buy plastic! Even before you posted this I have been thinking that you probably saw a lot of what you have happily left behind (lifestyle-wise) while you were staying with me! I have to admit I feel a twinge of guilt every time I use a ziploc bag (and we buy them in bulk). Since tone is hard to sense in print, know I laughing with you, not feeling insulted!
Oh, Susan--these things are fine, and I was thrilled that the girls had so much fun with these coloring pages, and was pleasantly surprised to find I like the way they look taped up all over the room. : ) So, they will stay for a while! But the fact that the packet did not include either a brown or black marker for the latest Disney heroine made me laugh. So, so not politically correct.
And if you are feeling a twinge every time you use a baggie--yay! ; ) I am NOT anti-plastic. I am anti mindless overuse of plastic. If you are thinking before you use that baggie, that is awesome. I am so proud of you. ; ) As for stuff. . . you know how our tiny house has forced us into a lifestyle that we might not have gotten into so quickly (because I think we would have still gotten to this same place, just maybe, oh, not until the kids were out of the house!) and so since I have to be careful about ANYTHING I bring into the house, it is easier for me than for most to be conscious and picky. So actually, even though you mentioned to us that you know you have too many toys, we never really saw them all out and so your house felt nothing but comfortable and fun. : )
And what a luxury to be in the same house with my family but all be in DIFFERENT ROOMS???? That's what a vacation is all about.

Sometimes I would like to ask God why He allows poverty, famine and injustice in the world, when He could do something about it. . . but I'm afraid He might ask me the same question. --Anonymous
It is not how much you do, but how much love you put into the doing that matters. --Mother Teresa
The great thing is, if one can, to stop regarding all the unpleasant things as interruptions in one's "own" or "real" life. The truth is, of course, that what one regards as interruptions are precisely one's life.--C.S. Lewis
God is looking for people through whom He can do the impossible. What a pity we plan only the things we can do by ourselves.
